|  Dennis Barry grew up in Nevada County. Wandering through the countryside with his friends, he developed a passion for nature that has formed his life.
In the early 80’s, his childhood connection with the South Yuba River prompted him to participate in the founding of the original South Yuba Citizens League (SYRCL), now perhaps the largest and most respected grassroots watershed protection agency of its kind in the US.
Dennis is a member of the Nevada County Contractors Association. He started his building career digging foundations with pick and shovel and progressed to the design and construction of custom homes.
A dedicated diver and active member of PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors), of DAN (Divers Alert Network), Project Aware (Aquatic World Awareness and Education), Dennis has worked with other experts to create an Underwater Scuba Park in the Dominican Republic.
Hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, running, golfing, exploring - Dennis did find time to meet his wife, Suzie, who is principal of one of our local elementary schools.
In the many years Dennis has built homes in Nevada County, he has also built many lasting relationships, based upon trust and integrity.
His philosophy: find a line of work which is your play, thus leading to full time enjoyment. This is how he lives his life, helping others to visualize and create their dreams and passions. And, in an interesting twist - his office is now in the building at the top of Broad Street where his parents once made their first home!
